RFID

Radio frequency identification can be used just about anywhere from clothing tags, Oyster cards and key fobs to libraries and agriculture. There are two types of RFID tag used to store your unique data, read only (usually at 125KHz) and read/write tags (usually at a much higher frequency of 13.56MHz). The RFID readers/writers will activate, read and write the data to the tag.
